In the picture Pat and I are joined by royal couples from three other Karneval groups (two from Indianapolis, and Sarnia, Ontario). Also joining us is the president of the BDKK, the Canadian Karneval Association. Much revelry was had by all.

On Friday 11 November 2005 at 11:11 PM, I became the Prinz of the Erste Karnevals Gesellschaft Germania Cincinnati. That makes me officially the Prinz of Fools. The German Karneval "Session" is one of the most foolish times of the year, and the Prinz and Prinzessin (or Prinzenpaar) are the leaders of the foolery. It is at once a great honor, a significant responsibility, and a good joke.
At our opening dance on Saturday 12 November we were introduced publically. There are Pictures are here and here. A great time was had by all the fools in attendance.
I'll post more in the coming days about what it is to be a Prinz of Fools.
